Welcome Cowboys

As the world reacts to COVID-19, the OSU Alumni Association and OSU Foundation want all Cowboys to know we are here for you.

We have created this page to offer assistance to Cowboys in need and provide ways for Cowboys to help each other.

We know challenges come with pain, but pain will not win.

The Cowboy Strong Student Emergency Fund is a critical component to OSU’s COVID-19 response and provides direct and immediate support to students in danger of dropping out. Dr. Doug Hallenbeck, vice president of student affairs, oversees the fund, including processing student requests and distributing support for food security, utility assistance, rent, tuition and other necessities. OSU is committed to helping ensure students can continue their education.

COVID-19’s devastating effect on the economy means more students and their families will struggle to cover the cost of attending OSU in the fall. For many, scholarships may be the deciding factor in returning to campus or enrolling for their first semester as a college freshman. By supporting the General Scholarship Fund, you will empower the university to help students rocked by financial hardships who may think attending OSU is no longer possible.

Emergency Health and Medical Support

Whether it is supplying basic necessities to meet the needs of physicians within the OSU Medical Center and OSU Clinics, or providing informational content and knowledge to rural physicians and educators through Project ECHO, many of our fellow Cowboys at OSU Center for Health Sciences are on the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic. Here are ways you can help OSU-CHS lead Oklahoma in the fight against COVID-19.

The OSU Alumni Association is gifting each graduating student a New Graduate membership to connect them with local Cowboys in their new communities, offer Alumni Career Services support and provide connections back to our alma mater. Every $20 will pay for one New Graduate membership. With 4,000 expected graduates, we need the help of our entire  Cowboy Family!

Live by the code

image153

Remember the Cowboy Code during challenging times like these.

We end the day knowing we gave it everything we had.

We dream only as big as the sky.

We know challenges come with pain, but pain will not win.

We have a passion to do what's right, even when it's hard.

We stand for what matters, even if we stand alone.

We finish what we start.

Being a Cowboy isn't in our clothes, it's in our character.
